The Beauty of Flowers
These are the beauties which bring me pleasure while sitting out on the front porch. Due to the wild animals, I try putting out things they will avoid. This has been trial and error since I moved from St.Louis, Mo to the Great Northwest, where I didn't have moose, deer,elk,bear and bobcat's coming through the yard. It is peaceful, quite and wonderful living on Moscow Mountain
Fishing, Mushrooms and Rhurbarb
Living in the wild makes this a treat when I get to find mushrooms and rhurbarb in my flower beds. Also getting to go fishing for the nights supper is so relaxing. I enjoy being able to pick and catch fresh stuff.
Cast Iron cooking for No Knead Bread
Shopping around to find these cast iron pans which work so well with No Knead Bread. Trying this was great since one only needs to put ingredients together and put it in the hot pan along with the hot oven and you have this great Artisan Bread. Also hunting for a bargain again, I look each and every time I go to thrift stores and other antiques stores to find these pans which do well camping.
Breading Making at Home
Making homemade bread is enjoyable and fun. I had found this Artisan Bread Cooker at a thrift store and hoped it would make the french loaf with a beautiful crust. It has a steamer underneath the unit and I was so glad I bought it. It was a $50. item but pd. only $4.99. What a buy.
